Design and hand-glaze a bisque-fired ceramic matcha bowl (chawan). The workshop includes tasting several types of ceremonial matcha and practicing its traditional preparation using a bamboo whisk (chasen).

Try different ceramic decorating techniques—glazes, engobes, and underglaze colors. One bisque piece is included, with more available to purchase during class. If you already have a ready-to-glaze piece made from our clay, you can bring it along.
