For who?
This course is for complete beginners and anyone who wants to try the potter’s wheel for the first time.
What to expect?
You’ll get familiar with clay and learn the core wheel-throwing basics: centering, opening, and shaping. You’ll experience how clay behaves in your hands and start building the feel and rhythm that throwing requires. The focus is on understanding the process, not on making a “perfect” piece.
How the class works?
An instructor guides you through the session step by step, demonstrates techniques, and helps whenever needed—so you’ll leave with a clear idea of what wheel throwing involves and how to continue.
What’s included?
Bisque firing in our kiln is included, so you’ll take home your own piece after firing. It will then be ready for glazing, which you can continue in our “Glazing” course.
